Agility Award 2023 Round 1 Application
Examples of animation types:
Animation Example 1: A 3D model of the human body is transformed through different mathematical process.

Animation Example 2: Using video footage, I set a brightness threshold. Any pixel above a certain luminosity becomes a point and is joined
by a line to points of equal brightness. This tends to amplify certain shapes that the character makes and gives a hand
drawn look to the subject.
Animation Example 3: I use several layered 3d Models - skin, skeleton and organ systems and process them in a similar way to the luminosity points
shown in example 2. This enables a way to show the exterior and interior of the body at the same time.
Examples of movement capture:
Movement Example 1: A dancer wearing a green suit, wears a coloured socks and gloves and mask. These coloured points are used to map their
movements and are joined together by lines to create geometric shapes. They suggest the body but reduce it to 5 points.

Movement Example 2: A dancer is filmed in a green suit and the image is reduced to just their outline, the rest made transparent. Each frame is
pulled further along a z-axis whenever a new frame appears. This leaves a trace of the dancers movement through time.
Movement Example 3: A dancers movements are captured and shown in a 10 by 10 frame, somewhat imitating the early moving pictures of
Eadweard Moybridge. These can be quite striking projected large and in 4k definition.
